CPSC, ATRIUM ANNOUNCE RECALL OF IMPACT WINDOWS
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC),
Atrium Windows and Doors, Inc., of Welcome, North Carolina,
is voluntarily recalling sashes on about 560 windows.
The following product safety recall was voluntarily conducted by the firm in cooperation with the CPSC. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.
Name of Product: SafeHarbor Series 65 and 265 Vinyl Impact Windows manufactured between March 21, 2016 and July 18, 2016
Units: About 560
Manufacturer: Atrium Windows and Doors
Hazard: During the relevant time frame, the windows were manufactured with an adhesive which is not included in the firm’s glazing process specifications. In the most extreme circumstances, the glass in the affected windows might separate from the frames and cause an increased risk of injury and property damage.
Incidents/Injuries: The firm is not aware of any failures involving these windows.
